Lori Harder

As a fitness competitor, model, and trainer, nothing makes Lori Harder feel better than accomplishment. Whether it’s placing well in a major show, helping a client achieve another training milestone, or having fun doing a photo shoot, she says she puts her entire heart into it.

Lori first realized her passion for fitness in her early teens, when she realized her lifestyle and genes had her on the fast track to obesity. She picked up a couple fitness magazines, and decided to change her own fate. Now, years later, she feels blessed to be doing what she loves, and creating a successful career out of it!

As a fitness competitor, Lori started competing in both Figure and Bikini divisions in 2006. Having placed in the top five or better in every show she entered, and top 5 in each category, she realized she was a chameleon in both sports. Three years and several 3rd, 2nd and 1st places later, Lori recently swept the 2010 Fitness America Pageant winning the Ms. Bikini America Title and the Ms. Figure America in the same show. This was only after she won the 2010 Ms. Bikini Universe title a few months earlier in Miami. Lori made history with the back to back Ms. Bikini titles and also winning Bikini and Figure Overall titles at the same show.

As a fitness model, Lori has made several appearances in Oxygen Magazine,

among other publications. She says modeling has been a dream come true and considers it an honor to be a role model and to get to work with some of the top photographers in the business. Her most recent shoot took place after her double win with one of her favorite photographers, Liana Louzon, who Lori says has taught her so much about modeling, and how to move in front of the camera. 

As a trainer, Lori takes great pride in helping women reach their goals. Whether its just to lose weight, gain confidence, or compete, she is able to help with all of it! “I love the diversity in all of my clients, and I take their goals on as mine,” Lori says. Lori reached one of her biggest goals last year when she opened her own Fitness studio in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she trains women one on one and also teaches a wide range of classes.

Lori’s most recent project busygirlhealthylife.com combines two of her
biggest passions, cooking and health. She says “I feel as though every
experience in my life was setting me up to help develop this project. I am so excited to bring healthy, easy food ideas, tips, and pertinent information to all the real-life busy people trying to lead a healthy lifestyle. I decided to share all of the secrets I learned through the years that have worked for me and put them in one spot!” Lori also tells us that she loves hearing the secrets of her “Guest Busy Girls” who range from elite fitness models, local business owners or the amazing career mom juggling it all. Lori is the creator and host of the informative, and often comedic cooking show that can be found on BusyGirlHealthyLife.com. She hopes her realistic, light hearted approach to being healthy makes your life easier, and hopefully gives you a few laughs too.
