Tamarra Hay is a fitness competitor and bikini model who has moved from the boardroom to the modeling and fitness industry with the quiet confidence of a seasoned pro.

A pioneer of the social spa movement in North America, Tamarra established herself as a media presence long before entering modeling and competitive fitness. Through her business and international consulting efforts in the area of spas, health and wellness, Tamarra developed a strong reputation as a charismatic spokesperson and relentless competitor. She has been a regular guest on national television and radio shows and a frequent contributor to the Girls of SAF and international health and wellness magazines.

A natural performer and fitness fanatic, Tamarra has leveraged her boundless energy and competitive drive to build an impressive modelling portfolio. Tamarra has shot with some of the finest fitness and glamour photographers in the world, including Oxygen Magazine’s Paul Buceta, South Beach master Jim Maxwell, Toro Magazine’s Phil Brideaux of Eikona and American Curves’ Todd Plinke of In8 Photography. Tamarra’s images from these and other shoots grace the pages of a rapidly increasing number of sports and fitness magazines, online magazines and calendars.

With her modelling career well established, Tamarra returned to her first love, fitness. With the help of fitness model friends, cover model Francisca Dennis and Canadian body building champion Mindi O'Brien, she set her sights on the world of competitive fitness. In her first competition, the 2010 SAF Summer Spectacular in Toronto, Tamarra represented Team O'Brien and was honoured to place 2nd in Figure/Swimwear and 1st in Over 35 Open. With these wins, Tamarra attained her SAF Elite Pro status and now has her sights squarely set on her IFBB Bikini Pro Card.

While launching her modeling and fitness career relatively late in life, Tamarra wouldn’t change a thing. The experience developed through her business career, her family and her lifelong commitment to personal health and fitness, has sculpted the poise and confidence that have Tamarra on the rise in the modelling and fitness industry today. “Setting a positive example for my teenage daughters and other women is extremely important to me....work hard, be creative and take pride in yourself and everything you do!” says Tamarra.
