Andrew Menechian

Andrew “Striatian” Menechian was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. From the age of 13 he started resistance training consisting of mainly bodyweight exercises up until he was 16 and started using weights in his program and has been hooked ever since. Andrew originally started training with weights to get stronger, but over time also became interested in building muscle as well. In 2007 Andrew partially tore his left patella tendon and was unable put any pressure on his left leg for 6 months but kept training everything else and after a year of rehab was fully recovered.

After being stuck at 165lbs for a couple years Andrew knew he had to make some changes in order to progress further so he studied and researched all he could to increase his knowledge on bodybuilding and powerlifting.

In 2011 he entered both a powerlifting and bodybuilding competition all by himself without the help of any coaches and placed 1st and 2nd respectively.

Andrew is now focusing on all his weak points to get everything in proportion for new competitions, he also aspires to one day be an IFBB Pro Men's Physique athlete.
